Like a lot of little girls, I was obsessed with drawing and painting when I was a child. I would spend hours sketching animals and wildlife using whatever I could get my hands on. I moved to Bristol in 2003 for university and found myself in a hub of artistic creativity. I couldn’t help but get inspired. I picked up my charcoal and pencils again and began a life drawing class. Thirteen years later and I still cherish the escapism of sketching life models whenever I get the chance. My childhood fascination with drawing animals has never been far away though. Whether I’m producing a quick sketch from life, or working on a commission from a series of photographs, I love nothing more than trying to capture the personality of my subject – however small and fluffy it may be! I’m always keen to get my teeth into a new project, however big or small, so if you have an idea for a commission, please do get in touch!
